Apprentice Dental Nurse

One Dental Peterborough is looking for a motivated and ambitious Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in dentistry, learn properly from the beginning, and develop into a confident, capable dental professional within a modern private dental practice.

We are not just looking for someone to “fill a role”. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine commitment to learning.

About the role

As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will receive structured, hands-on training while working alongside experienced clinicians and team members. You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship and given the guidance needed to develop strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills.

This role is ideal for someone who is academically capable, reliable, professional, and serious about completing their dental nursing qualification.

No previous dental experience is required — full training will be provided.

What you will learn

During your apprenticeship, you will be supported to learn how to:

Assist dentists and clinicians chairside during a range of treatments
Prepare surgeries and maintain excellent clinical standards
Follow infection control and decontamination procedures
Complete accurate clinical notes and use dental software systems
Communicate professionally with patients and the team
Support the smooth running of the clinical day
Work with modern dental technology and digital workflows
Build confidence in a professional healthcare environment

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is:

Academically capable and able to complete coursework alongside working
Organised, reliable, and punctual
Willing to learn, take feedback, and improve

Confident with communication, both written and verbal

This role would suit someone who takes pride in doing things properly, wants to be trained to a high standard, and is excited by the opportunity to grow within a professional dental practice.

Training and qualification

You will be enrolled onto a recognised Dental Nurse Apprenticeship and supported throughout your qualification.

Please note: suitable GCSEs will be required for apprenticeship enrolment.

You will receive:

Full support with coursework, exams, and practical training

Structured development throughout your apprenticeship

Pay and progression
