Overview

We are a medium sized accountancy practice with 2 office locations in the southeast of England close to the Gatwick area. We are looking for an Admin Assistant in our office in Bolney, Haywards Heath. Our office can be reached by car or bus and there is on site parking available.

We are looking for an Admin Assistant to complete our team with opportunities to grow within the business depending on qualifications and available roles.

Responsibilities and Duties

The part-time role reports into the Practice Admin and Compliance Manager. This position is embedded in the heart of our practice where most processes are coordinated, as the admin team is support for our technical departments as well as face to the client. A solid understanding of the confidentiality principle is key in this position.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be but are not limited to:

Conduct general office admin duties - including answering client queries by email/phone, handling daily post, document filing, data entry, general client management, Companies house and HMRC communications, preparing documents and office maintenance
Provide PA support for Practice Principal
Provide administrative support for Accountants and Payroll department, including invoicing and sending client communications
Maintaining/updating client information in our accountancy systems
Communicating with suppliers and ordering supplies or maintenance
Performing assigned duties in relation to incorporating New Companies, performing company secretarial responsibilities for clients and dealing with company strike-offs
Performing assigned special projects as designated by management

Qualifications and skills

Required and preferred skills for this position:

Excellent organisation and administration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office package
Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads under strict deadlines
Customer-service focused
Motivated team player
Professional and courteous telephone manner
Able to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
Any bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are a plus but not mandatory

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
