Procurement Coordinator

Location: Upton, Poole
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Reports to: Purchasing Manager

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially astute Procurement Coordinator to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain team at an exciting time of growth. This is a high‑impact role where your decisions directly support sales, revenue, and customer delivery outcomes.

Working closely with the Purchasing Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, and commercial negotiations—acting as a key link between purchasing, sales, engineering, and finance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sourcing and procuring materials and services to meet demanding commercial timelines
Rapidly issuing RFQs and driving timely supplier responses
Delivering accurate pricing, availability, and alternative sourcing options under tight deadlines
Supporting sales by ensuring stock availability aligns with customer demand
Identifying new suppliers and expanding the approved vendor base
Negotiating pricing, terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost and quality targets
Managing supplier performance against SLAs, including audits and reviews
Owning supplier contracts and ensuring all commercial terms protect company interests and IP
Monitoring inventory levels daily to meet weekly supply objectives
Contributing to purchasing strategy and continuous process improvement initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident, commercially driven Procurement Coordinator who’s comfortable operating at pace and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll ideally bring:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing, supplier management, or negotiation
Sales or commercially aligned experience (highly desirable)
CIPS qualification or working towards (preferred)
Strong analytical and organisational skills
A proactive mindset and the confidence to work independently
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
A calm, solutions‑focused approach under pressure

Systems & Tools

MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
FileMaker
Web‑based purchasing and supplier platforms
