Join Our Team

Kingsfold Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Care Navigator / Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a patient-facing role that is central to ensuring patients receive the right care from the right healthcare professional at the right time.

We are looking for a compassionate, organised, and confident individual who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Navigation

Receive, assist, and direct patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional or service.
Provide a welcoming, courteous, and professional service to patients and visitors.
Manage patient enquiries both in person and over the telephone.
Book, amend, and cancel appointments efficiently.
Support patients requiring urgent consultations, using sound judgement to ensure they are managed appropriately.

Administrative Duties

Process new patient registrations and temporary resident requests.
Enter and maintain accurate patient information on the clinical system.
Handle repeat and acute prescription requests in accordance with practice procedures.
Record home visit requests accurately and refer urgent matters to the Duty Doctor.
Take and relay messages promptly and accurately.

Reception & Practice Support

Ensure the reception area operates effectively and efficiently at all times.
Explain practice procedures and services to patients.
Manage payments for private services and issue receipts where required.
Support the wider practice team with general administrative tasks.

Premises Responsibilities

Open and prepare the premises at the start of the day when required.
Secure the building and activate alarms when closing the practice.
Assist with additional duties as requested by the Partners and Practice Manager.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
