Full job description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking skilled and dedicated Butchers- Supervisor role and Experienced Butcher roles available. To join our team for a brand new Food Hall.

PLEASE ONLY ENQUIRE IF YOU HAVE RELEVANT BUTCHERY EXPERIENCE, SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE.

As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products, contributing to our commitment to exceptional food standards and high level customer service.

We are seeking multiple positions including a manager/supervisor role.

Duties

Prepare and cut various types of meat according to specifications, ensuring high-quality presentation for commercial and domestic customers.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to strict food safety standards.
Process orders efficiently while managing inventory levels of meat products.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely preparation of orders requiring specific cuts.
Monitor and maintain equipment used in meat processing, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Educate customers about different cuts of meat and recommend cooking techniques to enhance their culinary experience.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to food production and preparation.

Experience

Previous experience as a butcher is essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Familiarity with various cuts of meat and their appropriate uses in cooking.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality food products.

Location

Brand new premises- Food Hall @ Scotts of Southend
