Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our dynamic construction team. This vital role combines hands-on groundworks with the operation of dumper trucks, ensuring efficient movement of materials and maintaining a safe, organized worksite. If you thrive in active environments and take pride in contributing to successful projects, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.

Must have CSCS/CPCS/NPORS card

Must have right to work in uk

Must have Dumper/Roller ticket

Must have good knowledge of ground works

Please note this is prison job so DBS check required

Duties

Operate dumper trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials across the construction site
Assist with groundworks including digging, leveling, and preparing sites for construction activities
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Support other team members with manual tasks such as loading and unloading materials
Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use and report any maintenance needs promptly
Follow all site safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times
Collaborate with supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and ensure project deadlines are met

Qualifications

Valid CPCS or NPORS card for dumper operation (or equivalent recognized certification)
Proven experience operating dumper trucks in a construction environment
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Ability to perform manual labor when required, including digging, lifting, and moving materials
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
