Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mixer Operator to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating mixing equipment to ensure the consistent and safe preparation of food products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality food manufacturing within a dynamic environment, supporting food safety standards and efficient production processes.

Duties

Operate and monitor industrial mixers and related equipment to produce consistent food batches.
Ensure adherence to HACCP protocols and food safety regulations at all times.
Measure ingredients accurately using basic maths skills to maintain product consistency.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery, performing basic maintenance or reporting issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with hygiene standards.
Record production data accurately, including batch numbers, ingredient quantities, and processing times.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food production processes.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with mixers or related equipment as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial equipment is a plus.
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting quantities accurately.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMP). Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
