Overview

Join our vibrant school community as a School Catering Assistant! In this lively and rewarding role, you will be a vital part of providing nutritious, delicious meals to students and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience every day. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where students can enjoy healthy food options in a safe and hygienic setting. Duties

Assist with preparing, serving, and presenting meals in accordance with health and safety standards
Ensure food is stored correctly and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
Support the setup and clearing of dining spaces before and after meal times
Monitor food portions and assist with special dietary requirements as needed
Engage positively with students and staff, promoting a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
Follow all hygiene procedures, including proper handwashing and use of protective equipment
Help manage stock levels by checking supplies and reporting shortages promptly

Requirements

Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for supporting young people’s well-being
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Good communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and team members
Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines rigorously
Previous experience in catering or customer service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to work flexible hours aligned with school schedules
