Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Deputy Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team at our new venue ~ The Caledonian Bar, Inverness

Responsibilities

Assist the GM in leading and overseeing daily operations to ensure that all company standards are met
Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and guest experiences to both local regulars and tourists
Manage guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
Handle cash transactions accurately, including billing, payments, and financial reporting
Support the management of the property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency
Contribute to staff scheduling, training initiatives, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment

Requirements

Proven experience in management, hospitality, or customer service roles within a busy pub, restaurant, hotel or similar setting
Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and problem-solving
Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial transactions in a hospitality context
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating welcoming atmospheres
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required
A background in hospitality or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
