Location: Stoke-on-Trent Contact Centre + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday + Out of hours working

What you'll do

Be part of a career-defining transformation as we bring together two industry-leading businesses to create the UK's largest mobile network provider. As a Test Specialist, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer experiences by ensuring new products, services, and system enhancements are thoroughly tested, ready for launch, and supported through their early life. Working at the heart of Channel Operations, you'll help ensure our retail, contact centre, and indirect channels have the tools and technology they need to serve customers with confidence.

You'll validate new propositions, system updates, and releases to ensure they are fully functional and fit for purpose before going live.
You'll develop, review, and execute test scripts, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement throughout the testing lifecycle.
You'll support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), helping ensure business requirements are delivered accurately and effectively.
You'll act as a key link between business stakeholders, channel teams, and test leads, ensuring feedback is captured and acted upon.
You'll contribute to business readiness activities, supporting change management, training, and deployment preparation.
You'll perform Customer Journey Testing (CJT) and Deployment Validation Testing (DVT) to ensure seamless customer and colleague experiences.
You'll provide Early Life Support following deployments, helping resolve defects and ensuring smooth adoption of new capabilities.
You'll troubleshoot production issues, coordinate with specialist teams, and help drive timely resolutions.
You'll occasionally provide planned and ad hoc out-of-hours support to help ensure successful releases and operational stability.

Who you are

Strong planning, organisation, and attention-to-detail skills.
Experience testing systems, services, products, or business processes in a fast-paced environment.
A good understanding of frontline operational systems and customer-facing technology platforms.
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and working with multiple systems simultaneously.
The ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly to different audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
Experience supporting service delivery, continuous improvement, or business process enhancement initiatives.
Retail, contact centre, telecommunications, or broader customer-facing experience would be beneficial.
A team player who values diverse perspectives, embraces change, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
