Senior Technical Producer / Master Event Alchemist *
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Technical Producer to help our customers take their events to the next level. Whether for content creation or audio-visual support, you bring innovation, experience and a calm, teaching head to help make exceptional events for our customers.
At the forefront of how we deliver events, your primary role will be to produce events and create content. With a coaching and teaching mindset, you’ll work with the wider production team to drive standards and continuous improvement, helping all to flourish.
With frequent time on location and opportunities worldwide, you work both autonomously and collaboratively to tackle the frequent challenges of the production environment. As the technical point-of-contact for key company customers, you own, maintain and develop those relationships and champion the company’s capabilities with a view to expanding the services and scope of work provided.
This role would suit an experienced technician (video, editing, lighting, sound, AV) looking to help supervise and guide a team and use their extensive knowledge to actively improve customers’ events with innovation and by pushing boundaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of Event Technology
Harnessing the right software and hardware to create innovative and creative solutions to deliver our customer’s events. From webinars to conferences, promotional films and product launches to graduations and awards.
Direct Client Communication
Actively participating in project meetings to help innovate, shape and define client requirements. Developing and maintaining client relationships.
Leading by Example
Supporting, coaching and mentoring the wider production team to ensure exceptional delivery and allow others to flourish.
Hands-on Event Production
Pulling everything together and taking ownership to deliver the project – acting as the technical point-of-contact for productions and using your creative, technical and project management alchemy* to ensure seamless production.
Equipment Management
Preparing and assigning equipment by creating ‘equipment kit lists’ along with packing for your events in our warehouse will ensure you have end-to-end involvement in your projects. You will have responsibilities for a small section of our warehouse equipment, making sure your allocated kit is complete and in working order - supplying links and costs for any spare parts needed for repairs as needed.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Essential
Hands on experience as technical ‘crew’ on events in one or a variety of roles, with a willingness to work on location frequently with flexibility (at times) to work sometimes long and varied hours if required.
At least 5 years of live technical delivery, with knowledge and understanding of camera work, live directing, streaming, A/V audio and/or editing.
Experience of managing or training crew, with a people-focussed attitude.
Detailed understanding of the overall goals and principles of event production scenarios.
An ability to work on multiple projects at various stages of production at the same time through excellent organisational and time management skills.
Full UK driving license
Highly Desirable (but not essential)
At least 2 years of client management.
Virtual or hybrid event delivery with exposure to related software - such as vMix or OBS, and platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Interest or experience in live streaming and content creation.
Strong IT literacy with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
*Although we use ‘alchemist’ in a tongue-in-cheek way to affirm your ability to muster awesome events from a range of technical ingredients, actual alchemy or metallic experimentation would probably be discouraged.
