Overview

Join our dynamic team as an MOT Tester/ Mechanic and play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and roadworthiness. In this energetic position, you will conduct thorough MOT inspections, identify mechanical issues, and ensure vehicles meet strict regulatory standards. Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards
Inspect key vehicle components including brakes, lights, suspension, exhaust systems, and steering mechanisms
Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs or adjustments as needed to pass inspections
Accurately document inspection results and communicate findings clearly to customers or team members
Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks to support the overall vehicle servicing process
Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained for optimal performance
Handle heavy lifting when moving or positioning vehicles or parts safely and efficiently

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle inspection or repair roles
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties
Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills during inspections
Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers or team members
Valid certification for MOT testing (or willingness to obtain certification if not already held)
A proactive attitude with the motivation to uphold high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
