Full job description

We are advertising for several Bank Logistics Oppratives (Driver) vacancies. As a member of the bank you get to chose which shifts and in what localities across our Leicestershire sites you apply for when we release our shifts on a weekly basis.

The post will involve working within a team to provide a high quality driver courier / porter service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials and equipment within the site. Applicants must hold a current Full UK Driving Licence.

What is the 'bank'? - The term 'Bank' refers to our pool of bank employees who are our temporary staffing solution, they cover annual leave and sickness across our sites.

All roles will provide a range of duties across our Trust sites and support services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to all patients, staff and visitors is delivered.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

The Logistics operative will carry out the following Facilities Management functions:

Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related products
Transportation of linen cages, waste bins / carts in and around hospital environments.
Driving of trust vehicles.
Patient moves (reception to department or department to department
Domestic and Reception cover
Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed etc. including assisting clinical staff to reduce risk
Movement of deceased persons complying with Trust Policies and Procedures
To ensure all waste is collected, transported and disposed of in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures and current legislation.
