As part of this role you will be supporting managers and other staff in providing a range of accountancy services to our clients. We will support you in gaining the experience and knowledge needed as you progress through AAT/ACCA/ACA.
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual accounts for a variety of small companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Quarterly bookkeeping to include the preparation of VAT Returns
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required
- Contacting HMRC when required
- Preparation of basic Tax Returns
- Conducting bookkeeping for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Gain experience with company secretarial services
- Progressively assume more significant responsibilities and deepen your technical knowledge
- Ensuring your timesheet is accurate and completed on time each week
- Support the team with all admin tasks and basic accounts jobs
- Understand the business and how accountancy practices run
Desired Skills
- Ability to show initiative and work within a team
- Ability to show good client relationships
- To be comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with people at various levels
- Analytical and ability to complete tasks to a high level
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE's 5 to 9 (A to C) including Maths and English
- Relevant A Levels or University Degree
- A desire to complete AAT/ACCA/ACA
