Full job description

The Role

We’re looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join the Private Client team at our Melksham office. You will be supporting three lawyers ranging from trainee paralegal to Partner level with daily duties which will include but are not limited to:

Diary management to include arranging meetings and appointments
Audio typing
Completing standard forms, letters and documents
Opening files/database input
Setting up and managing the electronic transfer of funds
Preparing bills and file notes
Receiving and actioning calls from our central telephone lines
Providing reception cover on a rota basis when the office’s receptionist is on lunch or absent

Your Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience of reception cover and working in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

We’re looking for someone who has strong attention to detail and has the ability to take the initiative within the responsibility of the role.

Being able to strongly and effectively communicate with both colleagues and clients is key, along with maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Pay: £24,750.00-£28,360.00 per year
