Senior Finance Administrator
Protective Wear Supplies Limited is a fast-growing, customer-focused workwear and PPE provider in the UK market.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Administrator to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong transactional finance experience who can provide oversight, support colleagues, and help drive consistency and accuracy across finance processes.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations, supporting the wider finance team, identifying opportunities for improvement, and acting as an escalation point for more complex finance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee invoice processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Investigate and resolve complex invoice discrepancies and finance issues.
- Support and review bank payments in line with approval controls.
- Provide oversight of bank reconciliations and escalate anomalies where necessary.
- Act as an escalation point for complex finance queries.
- Support and guide Finance Administrator with issue resolution and best practice.
- Maintain accurate customer and supplier account records.
- Support data integrity across finance systems and records.
- Prepare KPI reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are met.
About You:
- Has previous experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Has strong transactional finance knowledge, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, and payments.
- Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Is organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Has strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Can work independently while supporting and mentoring colleagues.
- Has experience using Business Central or a similar ERP system (desirable).
