Full job description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic to join our growing workshop. If you are passionate about vehicle maintenance, enjoy solving mechanical problems, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
Perform MOT preparation and repairs.
Replace and repair components including brakes, suspension, exhausts, clutches, timing belts, and engines.
Change tyres
Re-gas vehicle air con
Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
Complete work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Keep accurate service records and communicate findings clearly with customers and colleagues.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a qualified vehicle mechanic or automotive technician.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction

Desirable Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
MOT Tester qualification (preferred but not essential).
Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
