REPORTING TO: Restaurant Manager

HOURS: Shift patterns available range from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekends - Full-Time, Midweek and weekend availability essential.

JOB LOCATION: The Old Inn, 15-25 Main St, Crawfordsburn, Bangor BT19 1JH

SALARY: £12.71 - £14.21 PAYSCALE

About the role:

All of our Food and Beverage Managers & Supervisors within Galgorm Collection started as F&B Assistants at one time so we always offer the opportunity to progress. As Food & Beverage Assistants, your main job will be to welcome and serve all our guests ensuring they enjoy their dining experience. You will be encouraged to improve and maximise your potential and we will support you along the way.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic new team members to work in our bar/restaurant and banqueting suites!

Job Description:

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

Welcoming all our hotel guests and visitors in a friendly, polite manner.
With training, have full and complete knowledge of all food/beverage and wine menus enabling you to help with any guest queries.
Present menus, take orders, and serve food and beverage professionally and efficiently ensuring our guests have everything they need.
Cleaning and resetting tables and keeping all areas of the restaurant neat and tidy.
Using the bar/restaurant till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.
Carrying out daily duties as required by the restaurant management team.
Directing any guest complaints to the Restaurant Manager.
Ensuring that your knowledge of the Resort and facilities is up to date in order to upsell to guests if the opportunity arises.
Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The Person:

Applicant must:

Have at least 1-year of previous waiting experience.
Have a passion for the hospitality industry, great food, and great service.
Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work morning, daytimes, evenings, and weekends.
Have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.
Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.
