Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential care, assisting with activities of daily living , and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

Previous experience in health care, long-term care settings is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic patient monitoring techniques is essential.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism is highly valued.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Familiarity with care plans and medication administration protocols is a plus.
