Full job description

Located in Edinburgh’s vibrant West End, Garner Hotel Edinburgh – Haymarket, offers the perfect blend of style, comfort, and connectivity. Step outside, and you're moments from Edinburgh’s top attractions, including Princes Street, the Royal Mile, and Edinburgh Castle—all just a short walk or tram ride away. After a day of adventure, unwind in our stylish Coffee Bar & Lounge, the perfect spot for a refreshing drink or light bite.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and cashiering skills, be able to work evenings and weekends, occasional overtime and be fluent in the English language.

Duties include:

Ensure correct standards are met and company policy and procedures are followed throughout all operations.
Carry out all duties as presented on the reception checklists including preparing the end of day, assigning rooms, posting, responding to e-mails, checking in and out guests amongst other duties.
Assist guests throughout day and night in a concierge role.
Take reservations as required over email and telephone and process reservations from our third party agents.
Preparing hot beverages and serving from café and bar
Maintain the lounge in a presentable fashion.
Liaise with Heads of Department and Management team.
Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for the smooth operations of the hotel or instructed by the management team

What we are looking for:

Enthusiastic and friendly individual.
Comfortable with the responsibility of all aspects of the hotel.
A great team player.
Hotel Reception experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
