Full job description

Duties

Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for every guest
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, hot drinks, cold beverages, and food to company standards
Operate the till accurately, handling cash and card transactions efficiently
Maintain excellent product knowledge to confidently answer customer questions and make recommendations
Ensure food and drinks are presented to a consistently high standard
Keep the café clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the day
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking
Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times
Work closely with the kitchen and wider team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Replenish stock and report low inventory levels when required
Support the team with general café duties and help maintain a positive working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Experience preparing coffee using an espresso machine is desirable (training can be provided)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the wider team
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required
