Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu offerings and inspire a talented team in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth daily operations
Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
Monitor kitchen performance, provide feedback, and implement improvements as necessary
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional development

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in menu development and food production management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
