Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Yard Manager to lead our yard operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily logistics, managing staff, and ensuring efficient movement of materials and products. The Yard Manager will play a key part in process safety compliance, and maintaining seamless supply chain operations within our busy precast facility.

Duties

Supervise daily yard activities, including shipping, receiving, and material handling
Coordinate transportation and loading the lorry
Oversee forklift operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols for yard
Maintain compliance with safety standards,
Sales and Customer focused role
Answering phones in busy periods
Some building experience would be an advantage to read plans for sills and lintels
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or yard environment
Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and yard safety protocols
Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other concrete products
Excellent communication skills
