CNC Machinists (Turning & Milling) – 2 Vacancies
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire (commutable)

A well-established precision engineering subcontractor is looking to recruit two experienced CNC Machinists due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work. These are permanent opportunities offering varied, high-precision machining in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator

Working on CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating machines to manufacture complex, low-volume precision components. The role involves reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, proving out programs, carrying out inspections, and ensuring parts are produced to tight tolerances and high quality standards.

Requirements:

Proven CNC turning experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining
Strong programming and setting skills using Fanuc controls
Ability to work independently from engineering drawings to finished components
Experience machining to tight tolerances

CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator

Using CNC vertical machining centres with Hurco (WinMax) and/or Fanuc controls, you will set, operate, and edit programs to produce complex precision components in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Programming experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of tooling, datum setting, inspection, and machining best practices.

Requirements:

Experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment
Knowledge of Hurco and/or Fanuc controls
Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
Programming experience is advantageous

Desirable Skills

CAD/CAM experience
Previous subcontract machining experience
Experience machining a range of materials
