Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and cooking to develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment. The role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in pizza making, culinary techniques, and food safety standards within a busy restaurant setting. As a Trainee Pizza Chef, you will work closely with experienced chefs, learning the art of pizza preparation and kitchen operations while contributing to delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients for pizza making, including dough, toppings, and sauces
Learn and support the assembly of various pizza styles according to recipes and customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
Support the cooking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment under supervision
Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and portioning ingredients
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Contribute to maintaining stock levels by assisting with inventory checks and restocking supplies
Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Qualifications

A keen interest in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior chefs
