Do work you can feel proud of this summer.
Do work that helps people stay independent, live well, and stay connected to the life they value.
July brings long, brighter days and a natural sense of momentum. It is a great time to start something meaningful and to help others feel stronger, steadier, and more confident in their day-to-day lives.

Your role as a Care & Support Team Member
You will be a consistent, reassuring presence, supporting people to live safely and confidently at home.
Because we work preventatively, your role is about more than tasks. It is about noticing changes early, encouraging healthy routines, and helping people maintain independence for longer, so they can keep doing the things that matter to them.
This is a community-based role, so you will be travelling between clients’ homes across Bathford and the surrounding areas. We are looking for people who are comfortable supporting clients in different local areas, depending on client need and rota requirements.
Your visits may include:
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition
- Encouraging safe mobility and supporting medication routines
- Promoting healthy habits and gentle activity
- Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
- Helping with light housework or personal care
- Spotting early signs of potential issues and helping prevent crises
Every visit is an opportunity to protect someone’s independence and quality of life, and to help them feel more like themselves.
What we are looking for
- A kind, reliable, and empathetic nature
- Experience is welcome, but not essential
- A UK driving licence and access to your own car
- The right to work in the UK
- Availability for 7am to 3pm and/or 3pm to 10pm shifts, discussed at interview
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends
- Willingness to travel across Bathford and the surrounding areas
Please note that this role is not based in one fixed location. You will need to be comfortable travelling between clients’ homes in different local areas according to client and business need.
A role with purpose
This is more than a job. It is a chance to be part of a team that puts prevention before crisis, people before process, and carers at the heart of everything we do.
At Abney & Baker, your work helps people age well, stay independent, and live life on their own terms. Your voice also helps us continuously improve how we support people.
Apply today and make July the start of something that truly counts, with a team where you are valued, supported, and given room to grow.
