Working hours are 10am - 7pm Monday to Friday. on a 45hr contact.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver to join our team, starting at 10am. This role involves managing materials, operating forklift trucks, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through shipping, receiving, and storage processes. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude are highly valued for this position. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load and unload goods
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing
Conduct basic equipment inspections report maintenance issues promptly
Support stock organisation, storage, and retrieval within the warehouse
Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of goods and materials
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to meet health and safety standards
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse activities

Experience

Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse setting is essential
Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are advantageous
Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, or logistics is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and stock management
Basic maths skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
Previous warehouse experience demonstrating reliability and safety awareness is highly regarded

Pay: From £30,420.00 per year
