Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Assistant Duty Manager to join our esteemed hospitality team. This pivotal role involves supporting the overall management of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively cater to our diverse clientele. Duties

Assist the Duty Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Supervise front-of-house staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of guest service.
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Support human resources functions such as staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments.
Coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance teams to ensure operational excellence.
Contribute to organising events or special functions hosted at the hotel.
Act as a point of contact during shifts in the absence of the Duty Manager, making critical decisions when necessary.
Promote a welcoming environment that reflects the organisation’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Previous experience in hotel operations or hospitality management is preferred.
Human resources knowledge including staff scheduling and training is advantageous.
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for engaging with international guests.
Organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Flexibility to work across various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
