Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Location: Portlethen, Aberdeenshire, with flexible remote working possible
Hours: Part-time, flexible hours to suit the needs of the business and the successful candidate
Salary: Dependent on experience

A Flexible Opportunity to Join a Growing Renewable Energy Business

We are a growing renewable energy company specialising in the installation of air source heat pumps, solar PV systems and battery storage systems. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide valuable support across the business.

This is a genuinely flexible opportunity, with the option to work a combination of from home and from our office in Portlethen. Working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit the needs of the business and the successful candidate.

This role could be ideal for:

Someone returning to work who would like to rebuild their experience
A parent or carer looking for flexible part-time hours that can fit around family commitments
A college or university student looking to gain valuable workplace and administrative experience alongside their studies

We are more interested in finding the right person and the right attitude than a long list of previous qualifications. Full training will be provided, and this could be a great opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, develop and become part of a growing team.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide general administrative support to help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. Duties may include:

General office and administrative tasks
Managing emails and correspondence using Microsoft Outlook
Updating and maintaining spreadsheets and records using Microsoft Excel
Preparing documents and letters using Microsoft Word
Data entry and maintaining accurate customer and company records
Supporting the wider team with scheduling, paperwork and organisation
Assisting with customer communications and general enquiries
Helping with other administrative tasks as required

The role will be varied, and there will be opportunities to learn more about the renewable energy industry and how a growing installation business operates.

About You

You don't need to have years of administrative experience. We are looking for someone who is:

Organised, reliable and trustworthy
Friendly and approachable
Comfortable using a computer and willing to learn new systems
Confident communicating by email and telephone
Able to manage their own workload and prioritise tasks
Keen to learn and develop new skills
Professional and able to work as part of a small, friendly team
A good attention to detail

Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, is preferred, but don't worry if you don't have experience in every area — full training will be provided on the job.
