Full job description

Job Title: Workshop Operative - Prehung

Salary: £12.86-14 per hour, plus quarterly 5% bonus

Hours: Full time – Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm (40 hours per week)

Job Purpose: To assist in the overall production and despatch of customer orders occurring within the Prehung line.

Responsibilities

To assist with general workshop production, including unwrapping and re-packaging of the doors, door sets, sorting deliveries by placing them in the appropriate bins, and checking details on labels to ensure that they are correctly sorted.
Checking for damaged or missing items.
Operating a range of woodworking machines.
Assembly to specification.
Conduct regular perpetual stock takes in the warehouse.
Will be required to move stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck.
General warehouse duties including housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and H&S of the site is always maintained.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience working within a warehouse or production environment is beneficial.
Heavy lifting and manual handling are required.

Personal Attributes:

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team focus.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, listening and communication skills.
A calm, level-headed approach, working well under pressure.
