Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our premises. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Main Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces
Clean and sanitise changing rooms, toilets and communal areas in accordance with health and safety standards
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
Restock supplies such as toilet paper and hand soap as needed
Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any repairs or issues
Adhere to company policies on cleaning procedures and confidentiality
Prepare rooms for functions, meetings, training, events with layouts as directed by administration staff, which involves moving furniture, hanging wall linings etc.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles
Excellent eye for detail
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and uphold high standards of professionalism
Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Physical stamina to perform janitorial tasks

Desirable

Experience with health and safety compliance
An interest in sailing/water sports
