We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our established finance team based on the outskirts of Exeter. As our business continues to grow, you will play an important role within a busy, high-volume finance department supporting multiple locations across the group.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for a proactive individual with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to their work.
The Role
This role is primarily focused on Purchase Ledger activities, while also providing support across the wider finance function as required. Working within a busy finance department that processes high volumes of transactions, you will help ensure financial information is processed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with supplier payment runs
- Resolving supplier queries in a timely manner
Wider Finance Support

Assisting with a variety of day-to-day finance activities and processes

Supporting the accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is kept up to date

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to resolve queries

Providing support to the wider finance team during periods of annual leave and absence

Contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of a busy, high-volume finance department

Undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role as required
What We're Looking For
Previous finance or accounts experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

- Works in a methodical and organised manner
- Is comfortable working with numbers and data
- Takes pride in producing accurate work
- Is dependable and willing to learn
- Communicates confidently and professionally
Experience of using systems such as AutoBi, Keyloop, or similar finance and business systems would be advantageous, but is not essential.
