Salesforce Platform Owner
Location: High Wycombe
Hybrid/Permanent
About the role
We are seeking a technically proficient Salesforce platform owner to manage, optimise and continuously enhance our Salesforce platform. This is a hands-on role requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design, configure and build scalable solutions that support business processes across Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions, using a combination of declarative configuration and development. You will help ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, well-governed and continuously evolving in line with business needs.
What you'll be doing?
Own, administer and optimise the Salesforce platform, including security, data integrity, users and overall platform performance.
Design and implement scalable solutions using Flow Builder, custom objects, validation rules, approval processes and other Salesforce configuration tools.
Develop custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, SOQL and Lightning Web Components (LWC) where required.
Work with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions, reports and dashboards.
Manage integrations, deployments, testing and change processes, following Salesforce development, governance and DevOps best practices.
Troubleshoot complex platform issues and contribute to Salesforce architecture, documentation, user support and the ongoing evolution of the platform.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Salesforce experience who combines administration, configuration and development skills with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
You will be comfortable working across both the declarative and programmatic sides of Salesforce, understanding when to use standard functionality, Flow and configuration, and when a custom development approach is more appropriate.
You will be confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, able to understand complex business requirements and turn them into scalable, maintainable and well-governed Salesforce solutions.
Our Requirements
3-6+ years' experience working with Salesforce in an Administrator, Developer, CRM Engineer or similar Salesforce-focused role, with strong hands-on experience across Sales Cloud, Salesforce administration and Flow Builder.
Strong understanding of Salesforce data, security, automation and platform architecture, with the ability to design scalable solutions using configuration, Flow and custom development where appropriate.
Experience developing Salesforce solutions using Apex and SOQL, with familiarity with Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, integrations and DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD and deployment tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Other skills/qualifications - (Desirable, not mandatory)
Experience with Gearset or another Salesforce DevOps/deployment platform.
Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I.
Experience with Lightning Web Components, Apex triggers/classes and REST/SOAP APIs.
Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced or scaling business environment.
Experience contributing to Salesforce architecture, technical standards and platform governance.
