Full job description

We are an award winning website design agency based just outside Cranleigh in Surrey. We're looking for a Digital Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of web and digital marketing clients. You'll be the main point of contact, helping guide clients through ongoing marketing work and website projects while keeping everything organised, clear, and moving.

This is a role with two sides to it. Alongside looking after your existing accounts, you'll be actively involved in winning new business, responding to leads, running first calls, building proposals, and joining pitches. The ideal person understands digital marketing and website processes well enough to confidently manage projects, support clients, and sell our work credibly across both areas.

Managing your accounts

Managing a portfolio of clients across digital marketing and web projects and making sure they feel supported.
Checking in regularly to identify where clients may need extra help or improvements to their website or marketing activity.
Leading communication with your accounts and keeping relationships professional and positive.
Identifying and promoting opportunities for additional work such as improvements, new features, ongoing updates, or wider marketing support.
Growing account value over time by spotting and pitching the right next piece of work.

Winning new business

Responding to inbound leads and enquiries quickly and professionally, and being the first point of contact for prospective clients.
Taking initial calls to understand what a prospect needs, qualify the opportunity, and judge fit and budget.
Running discovery sessions and gathering the detail the team needs to scope accurately.
Preparing proposals, quotes, and scopes of work with input from the design, development, and marketing teams.
Presenting proposals and taking part in pitches and tenders.
Following up on live proposals and seeing opportunities through to a decision.

Delivering the work

Overseeing website projects from discovery through to launch.
Scheduling and managing timelines using our project management tools, Slack, and Teams.
Working closely with the design, development, and marketing teams.
Briefing tasks clearly and setting expectations and budgets so projects run to plan.
Helping resolve issues quickly and keeping projects on track.
Translating client goals into clear instructions the team can act on.

What you’ll need

At least three years of experience working in an agency environment.
Proven experience managing digital or web projects.
Experience in digital marketing is a strong advantage SEO, PPC, or general marketing experience would all be useful.
Confident relationship management skills with the ability to support and guide clients.
A good understanding of digital marketing and website design workflows.
Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
Someone who takes ownership and can make sensible decisions to keep things moving.
