Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership qualities, and excellent problem-solving skills to maintain safety, efficiency, and reliability across all operational areas. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the organisation’s success.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical documentation.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control industrial processes.
Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
Lead maintenance projects, supervise junior team members, and coordinate tasks efficiently.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.Qualifications
Proven experience in maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing settings.
Strong electrical experience with knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with schematics.
Ability to read technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and mechanical drawings fluently in English.
Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to manage teams effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
Good communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration with team members.
Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and procedures in previous roles. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to apply their technical expertise in a challenging environment while contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
