We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Bath Veterinary Group on a full-time basis.
We are located in a thriving area of Bath with shops within walking distance and excellent transport links from both Bath and Bristol. Station Road is a busy first-opinion practice offering consultations and surgery throughout the week. The practice is fully equipped with an operating theatre, dental x-ray facilities and an in-house laboratory. Our friendly team prides itself on providing a welcoming service and benefits from the support of our 24-hour first-opinion and referral hospital in Bath.
Practice Highlights
- Established clinical team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, supported by 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 2 Receptionists

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first-opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pm across four or five days
- 1 in 8 Saturdays at Rosemary Lodge (8:00am–6:30pm) and approximately 1 in 20 Sunday mornings (paid as overtime)
- No out-of-hours requirement
General Responsibilities
- Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during surgical procedures
- Running nurse clinics and providing client education
- General nursing duties, including maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Anaesthetic monitoring and perioperative patient care
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
