Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano & Guitar Tutor to join our music education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, personalised instruction to students of various ages and skill levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire a love of music while fostering students’ technical skills and confidence in their playing. The tutor will work in a supportive environment that values creativity, patience, and effective communication.

Duties

Deliver engaging and tailored piano and guitar lessons to students, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
Develop customised lesson plans that promote musical growth and technical proficiency
Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
Prepare students for exams
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and enjoyment of music
Work with children and students with special educational needs, ensuring inclusive teaching practices
Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student achievements
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano and guitar, with a strong understanding of music theory and performance techniques
Experience working with children and young learners, including those with special educational needs
Excellent communication skills to effectively motivate and engage students of all ages
Patience, organisation, and the ability to adapt lessons to individual student requirements
Relevant qualifications in music or teaching are preferred but not essential if accompanied by demonstrable experience
A genuine passion for music education and inspiring others to develop their musical talents

Pay: £16.00 per hour
