Brief overview of the role:
CB1 2AS We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications Required:
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be provided:
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Future Prospects:
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Key duties include:
Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.
Apprenticeship details:
Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Duration: Typically 15 months
Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours

We are looking for somebody who can commute within 30 minutes on foot or public transport, parking in the area is challenging
We are looking for somebody with previous retail experience or barista work. Looking for reliable, punctual, confident, patient and tolerant. Keen to work and input efficiencies and be part of the team.
£8 per hour
Ideally, able to start between 6th and 17th July.
