NIGHT SHIFT - MONDAY to THURSDAY

Jacquet UK are one of the largest processors of stainless steel and high-value metals in the UK, specialising in Laser, Plasma, Waterjet and Saw cutting. Due to continued growth and the planned construction of an additional facility on site, we are expanding our team and looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure cut components are deburred, finished to required standard, and packed safely and accurately for despatch, while maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Debur and finish stainless steel components produced on laser, plasma, waterjet and saw cutting equipment.

- Use grinders and other hand tools safely and effectively.

- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

- Loading/unloading – receiving deliveries, loading goods onto vehicles.

- Pack materials onto pallets, ensuring accuracy against order requirements.

- Carry out regular manual handling tasks as a core part of the role.

- Complete basic equipment checks at the start of each shift and report any defects.

- Work reliably and maintain a steady pace to support consistent workflow.

- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and meet production and despatch deadlines.

- Maintain a clean, organised working environment and follow all site safety procedures.

- Support general warehouse duties as required.

- In the long term, undertake training to operate cutting machinery (Laser, Plasma, Waterjet, CNC Plate Saws, Band Saws)

About you

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous warehouse or manufacturing experience in the metals sector.

- Be confident using hand tools such as grinders.

- Hold a current Forklift and Overhead Crane licence (desirable, training can be provided)

- Understand manual handling principles and work safely at all times.

- Be organised, reliable, and able to prioritise workloads.

- Work well both independently and as part of a team.

- Be flexible and willing to support other tasks within the warehouse.
