Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Tyre Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of commercial vehicle tyres. In this energetic and hands-on position, you'll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and heavy-duty machinery. This role offers the opportunity to develop your mechanical skills while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to keeping fleets on the road safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of commercial tyres to identify damage, wear, or punctures.
Use hand tools and power tools to remove and replace tyres accurately and safely.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as balancing tyres and checking air pressure to ensure optimal performance.
Assist customers with tyre-related inquiries, providing professional advice and solutions tailored to their needs.
Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely using proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of all tyre services performed, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to uphold a secure working environment.

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with tyres or automotive components.
Familiarity with hand tools, along with experience using power tools.
Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or servicing commercial vehicles is essensial.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of safety standards related to tyre servicing and general workshop practices is an advantage.
Candidates must have a valid REACT licence
