About the Role

Working alongside experienced Business Development Managers, you will receive comprehensive training on our products, markets and sales processes before gradually taking responsibility for your own customers and opportunities.

You will play an important role in generating new business, supporting existing customers and identifying opportunities across a range of market sectors throughout the UK.

This is a genuine career development opportunity, with a structured pathway into a full Business Development Manager role for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns and networking.
Build relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Support the Business Development team with quotations, proposals and follow-up activities.
Learn our product portfolio and become confident in presenting our solutions.
Arrange customer meetings, demonstrations and site visits.
Attend exhibitions, trade shows and customer events.
Keep customer records and sales opportunities up to date using our CRM system (HubSpot preferred).
Follow up marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries.
Work closely with engineering, customer support and marketing teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Meet agreed activity levels and sales targets while developing your commercial skills.

About You

We're far more interested in your attitude than your CV.

You may currently work in customer service, engineering, operations, hospitality, retail, the armed forces, security, or another industry and be looking for an opportunity to move into sales.

Essential Qualities

A positive attitude and a genuine desire to build a career in sales.
Hungry to succeed and motivated by achieving goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and face to face.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
Well organised with good attention to detail.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software.
Willingness to travel across the UK as your experience grows.
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Experience using a CRM system (HubSpot would be advantageous).
Experience in business development, customer service, retail, engineering, hospitality or another service-based industry.
Interest in technology or security products.
