Who are we?
First and foremost, Didsbury House Hotel and Eleven Didsbury Park are beautiful boutique hotels situated in Manchester’s cosmopolitan Didsbury area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, stands a boutique like no other, rich in history with carefully selected furnishings and décor. Didsbury House Hotel provides the perfect venue for a range of exclusive events such as weddings, Summer BBQ’s, client entertainment dinners, afternoon teas and family celebrations. With its well-appointed Blue Lounge, Boardroom, and the Den which exudes character and warmth and a total of 27 bedrooms and suites offering comfort and style. Just a short walk away is Eleven Didsbury Park, a 20 bedroom Victorian home from home with a picture-perfect walled garden and covered terrace. Both hotels provide an idyllic haven where you can enjoy spending time with loved ones.

Positions: Night Porter

What we are looking for?

At least 6 months experience within similar role
Be able to learn on your feet
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Driven by delivering exceptional standards
Team working skills
Resilience and drive to get things right the first time
Ability to work under pressure
Confident and professional approach

Responsibilities included:

Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel procedures, the hotel and local area and to know what is happening in the hotel on a daily basis
To balance the cashiers transaction totals and balance daily audit
To ensure that all departments receive their morning reports
To ensure all customers queries and requests are handled in a polite, efficient manner and a high level of customer service is consistently maintained for check in and out
Ensure a sales attitude is adopted at all times and maintain an awareness of all sales opportunities within the hotel, to maximise room sales and revenue
To comply with Company Health & Safety, and Fire Regulations and procedures
To undertake any other reasonable task/request by Management

The position is flexible you would work between 2 and 5 nights per week dependant on business levels. Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis which will cover working Monday through to Sunday night. You will be required to work a flexible shift pattern that will start at 11pm and finish at 7am Sunday - Thursday. Friday & Saturday starting at 11.30pm and finishing at 8am which will includes bank holidays.
