Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Finance Assistant to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily financial activities, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain robust financial management practices. Your expertise will help drive informed decision-making and uphold the integrity of our financial processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving organization committed to excellence and growth.

Duties

Day to day input and processing within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and banking activities across 3 branches.
PO input, queries and matching to invoices.
Driving AR and debt policy – all the way up to legal claims.
Query resolution.
Provide financial support and guidance to branch management teams, ensuring consistent financial processes and controls across all depots.
Provide support to manage financial risk and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and support business objectives.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's stock control and inventory management systems.
Process international payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Identify opportunities for business growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
Maintain and manage customer and supplier records within the ERP system.
Assisting the Finance Manager and the wider finance function where appropriate.

Experience

Proven experience in transactional finance with a strong background in accounting operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash processes effectively..
Prior supervisory experience leading finance teams or departments is highly desirable.
Understanding of financial controls, budgeting processes, and external audit procedures.
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
