Job Description:

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality. The Painter will work both independently and as part of a team, working in our brand new spray booth.

Responsibilities

Based in our heated body shop in East Boldon, the role involves polishing cars, identifying any scratches and repainting scratched bodywork

Duties

Prepare vehicles for painting (masking, priming, etc.)
Apply paint, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out painting tasks
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project
Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience in painting
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for handling tools and equipment effectively
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting tasks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials or equipment
Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items
Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
