Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality. The Painter will work both independently and as part of a team, working in our brand new spray booth.
Responsibilities
Based in our heated body shop in East Boldon, the role involves polishing cars, identifying any scratches and repainting scratched bodywork
Duties
- Prepare vehicles for painting (masking, priming, etc.)
- Apply paint, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out painting tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project
- Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for handling tools and equipment effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials or equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
