WE ARE LOOKING FOR DRIVERS FOR OUR DEPOTS IN HULL AND GRIMSBY. POSITIONS ARE OPEN IN BOTH.

Overview
Built on 50 years expertise, H&P Freightways Ltd is a leading name in the transportation industry of bulk liquids, working on behalf of major blue-chip corporations worldwide.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a dedicated individual who can operate a truck with professionalism and care, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service.

With several locations throughout the UK and plans of expanding, we are a highly successful and sought after business and have no intention of slowing down.

Currently, we are seeking to recruit additional drivers to work out of our Hull or Grimsby depot.

This would be involving loading and delivery of bulk liquids; hazardous and non-hazardous.

We offer top of the range HGV’s as well as a competitive pay structure, pension, eye care vouchers and a death in service policy to any successful candidates.

Duties

Operate trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Communicate effectively with planners and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

A current HGV Class 1 License
A valid ADR in tanks (preferred, not essential)
Driver CPC and Digital Tacho
Proven experience as a delivery driver in a similar role.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems.
Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with some weekend work possible. Early starts and nights out are necessary.

Successful applicants will be given a full induction and training.
