Chef de Partie – Pastry

Our kitchen focuses on quality, seasonality and attention to detail, and we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our team.

The Role

As Chef de Partie – Pastry, you will take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries and other pastry items across the hotel.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Preparing and presenting desserts and pastry items to the standards expected at The Pheasant Hotel
Maintaining consistently high standards of quality, taste and presentation
Supporting the development of new desserts, afternoon tea items, petit fours and seasonal menu ideas
Ensuring the pastry section is fully prepared, organised and stocked ahead of each service
Monitoring stock levels and highlighting any shortages or ordering requirements to a senior chef
Ensuring ingredients are stored, labelled and rotated correctly
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety within the pastry section
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Working calmly and efficiently under pressure while consistently meeting preparation and service deadlines
Supporting, training and developing junior members of the kitchen team
Bringing creativity and new ideas to the pastry offering at The Pheasant
