Your duties will include but not be limited to;
To undertake the day-to-day management of construction activities of a designated project in order to maximise the company’s profitability and client satisfaction whilst ensuring Programme, Health and Safety, Security and Quality Control are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.
Main Responsibilities/Duties May Include:
(Depending on experience and renumeration)
· To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details
· To report to the Contracts Manager the progress against the programme
· Maintenance of company driven Health & Safety procedures / initiatives, including
o Use of PPE
o Site Inductions
o Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments
o Toolbox talks
o Scaffold/Lifting equipment & plant inspections
o Site housekeeping
· Adherence to the Company quality standards including:
o Management of defects
o Compliance with specification, materials / workmanship schedules
· Coordination / Leadership of the site team
· Waste management, managing skips, waste segregation etc.
· Management of fire risk assessments and fire protection
· Material management, stock checks, including deliveries and temporary protection
· Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc
· To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities and site security
· Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
· Management of site rules; housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
· Co-ordinate the Sub-Contractors as appropriate
· Preparation of site progress photos & reports
· To be responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation & site diary
· Attendance at project and company related meetings
· Preparation of the Health and Safety file
· Carry our work inspections and checks
· Any other reasonable management request
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Essential
· Construction Site Management experience
· SSSTS / SMSTS
It is likely that you will have the following skills and experience;
· Previous Site management experience within private residential sector
· Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation
· Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
· Excellent attention to detail
· Excellent communicator who enjoys liaising with people at all levels of an organisation from site worker to client side
· Great organisational abilities with experience of working in a fast paced, busy environment
· Excellent IT skills, MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint in particular (Possible Microsoft Project)
· Enjoy working as part of a team but have the ability to self-motivate also
· Excellent administration skills
· A tenacious approach to getting a job done to the best of your abilities
· A great sense of humour with a can-do attitude
· Enjoy working in a multi-faceted role in a busy environment
Job Types:
· This is a full time, permanent position based on site (Various Locations)
Schedule:
· Monday to Friday – 7:30am-4:30pm
Salary & Package:
· £ Competitive per annum subject to review at 4 months including review of benefits
· Company vehicle upon 4month review
Pension:
· You will be automatically enrolled into the Government NEST scheme.
Holiday Entitlement:
· The holiday year is 1 January to 31 December and holiday entitlement is 20 days
Experience:
· 2+ years (minimum) in the role
Language:
· English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
· CSCS (preferred)
· Driving (required)
