Full job description

Job Overview

We're looking for a talented and driven Pastry Chef to join Ruff Puff Bakehouse as we launch our new bakery. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the business, producing exceptional laminated pastries and helping maintain the high standards we're known for.

If you take pride in precision, consistency and craftsmanship (and love the early mornings that come with creating world-class pastries) we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Producing high-quality viennoiserie from scratch each week.
Preparing doughs, laminating, shaping, proofing and baking to an exceptional standard.
Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen.
Helping with product development and seasonal specials.
Working closely with the owner to uphold Ruff Puff Bakehouse's quality and reputation.

Experience

Minimum 1 year's professional experience producing laminated doughs (viennoiserie) in a commercial bakery or pastry kitchen.
Confident making, laminating, shaping and baking products such as croissants, pain au chocolat and Danish pastries.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a small team.

What We Offer

£36,000 annual salary.
45-hour working week over Wednesday to Sunday.
