About the Role:

At Aitec Quality Technologies Ltd, we are committed to building reliable, efficient, and continuously improving operational systems that support high standards across our organization. As our quality function continues to grow, we are looking for a Principal Quality Systems Manager who can take ownership of our quality management framework and help strengthen the systems, processes, and standards that support business performance.

You will play a senior technical and operational role, working across quality, engineering, operations, compliance, and business teams. You will be responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of our quality management systems while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and strengthen organizational performance.

This is a high level individual contributor and leadership role with significant influence across the business. You will provide guidance to quality professionals and process owners while working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are embedded into everyday operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management Systems: Own and continuously improve the organization's quality management system, ensuring procedures, policies, controls, and supporting documentation remain effective and aligned with business requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, eliminate recurring quality issues, reduce inefficiencies, and establish sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

Audit and Compliance: Lead internal quality audits and coordinate external assessments. Ensure findings are properly investigated, documented, and resolved within agreed timelines.

Quality Governance: Establish appropriate quality metrics, reporting mechanisms, controls, and review processes to provide management with clear visibility into quality performance and operational risks.

Team Guidance: Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to quality professionals and process owners. Support the development of consistent quality practices across departments.

Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into significant quality issues using structured methodologies such as root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and preventive action management.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, compliance, and management teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and incorporated into business processes.

Process Documentation: Review and improve standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality policies, and other controlled documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and practical usability.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 7+ years of experience in quality management, quality systems, manufacturing, engineering, regulated operations, or a closely related discipline, with substantial experience managing or improving quality management systems.

Quality Systems: Strong practical knowledge of quality management frameworks, audit processes, corrective and preventive actions, risk management, document control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence teams, mentor quality professionals, coordinate cross functional initiatives, and provide credible technical guidance without relying solely on formal authority.

Analytical Skills: You are comfortable interpreting quality data, identifying trends, investigating recurring problems, and converting findings into practical improvement initiatives.

Communication: You can clearly explain quality requirements to technical and non technical stakeholders and confidently present audit findings, performance reports, and improvement recommendations to senior management.

Mindset: You are structured, pragmatic, and improvement focused. You understand that an effective quality system should support the business rather than create unnecessary complexity. You know when a process needs stronger controls and when a simpler solution is the better one.

Pay: £80,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
